Rom-Com, Horror, Action, Adventure, Documentaries and so many more! BUT what you want to know is what are the best types of movies when you’re partaking in Mushrooms! Well, obviously everyone is different, BUT here are a few styles of movies that we would recommend and why!
ACTION & ADVENTURE:
Movies that are action and adventure based are and have always been a great choice when partaking in mushrooms, it allows you to immerse yourself in the character’s perspective, walking through forests, feeling the emotions they’re feeling, following a leader, taking on missions, and so on. Some great options for this genre would be ‘Avatar’, with its runtime of just under 3 hours you’re bound to be captivated for literal hours enjoying the colours, the characters, and the overall excitement that the film brings. Another great option we’d recommend is the ‘Snow White and Huntsman’ Saga starring Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron. This film produces huge action scenes, heart break, villance ways, and two very strong female leads, with the sagas runtime hitting 4 hours long this is a great watch for someone wanting a more dark setting, adventure packed and exhilarating film.
PSYCHEDELIC:
Psychedelic films are another great option, but we recommend watching at your own risk! These films will usually increase your intensity as its production has integrated visual distortion in the film and generalized editing to mimic the likes of a mushroom or illicit drug use. Although these films are fantastic even when not partaking we can assure you that if you’re wanting something that is the literal definition of trippy these next films are going to be a gold mine for you! The first film we would recommend would be ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ starring Johnny Depp, and Benicio del Toro. It is a mind twisting adventure between two characters who drive the Mojave desert on their way to Las Vegas with a suitcase filled with every drug you could possibly think of while also partaking in quite possibly the most wild trek produced. The film itself distorts itself, bringing colours to extreme levels of saturation and makes the viewer feel like they’re right there with Depp and Toro experiencing the entire trip. Another film we’d recommend for this category would be ‘Enter the Void’. This film includes acid trips that involve out of body experiences, and visual distortion and the concept of life and death perspectives, this film is definitely meant to make the viewer feel a little out of their comfort zone while watching.
DOCUMENTARY:
We understand that this could be a controversial genre but believe me when I say, there are a few documentaries out there that walk you through a trip in the best way and others that can truly make your mushroom trip very interesting and intriguing. The first one we’d recommend would be ‘Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics’. This film’s cast includes A-List celebrities like A$AP Rocky, Anthony Bourdain, Ben Stiller, Nick Offerman and many more! Ultimately this documentary touches base on all our favourite celebrities’ experiences with tripping and it’s quite entertaining to say the least. Another film we’d recommend in this genre would be ‘Planet Earth’ narrated by David Attenborough. Yes, we know, you probably watched this when you were a kid learning about the creatures in the deep sea, or perhaps the lions in Africa, but this is without a doubt the coolest documentary series to watch, with the calming voice of David Attenborough by your side and the mesmerizing visuals that planet earth has to offer, you’ll be left dumbfounded at not only what your learn… if you end up remembering anything but also the overall spectrum of beauty and beast in this wild world we call earth.
There are so many amazing movies to watch while partaking in mushrooms and it really is always up to you in what you’re wanting to watch.
